About This Idea

A fluted wood-slat partition runs floor to ceiling beside the television, breaking up the wall without closing off the room. Floating white cabinets below keep media clutter out of sight, while an open shelf above holds decor pieces lit by a warm LED cove.

Why It Works

Mixing a textured wood panel with flat white cabinetry gives the wall depth without making it busy. The slats also disguise a side door, and the mix of warm and cool tones keeps the room from reading as either too rustic or too clinical.

A television wall rarely gets much design attention beyond the unit itself, but this layout treats the whole wall as a composition. A run of vertical wood slats frames one side of the TV, adding texture and quietly covering a door into the next room.

Below the TV, floating cabinets in matte white keep the set-top box and remotes hidden, with a narrow open shelf for a soundbar. A warm LED strip tucked under the shelving adds ambient light at night, turning the wall into a feature even when the screen is off.
