Modern TV Unit with Marble Accent Panel
A warm living room TV unit that pairs a marble-finish back panel with wood-tone shelving, cove lighting and floating display shelves on either side.
This unit was designed for a client who wanted the TV wall to feel like a feature, not an afterthought. The marble-finish backdrop runs floor to ceiling behind the panel, flanked by walnut shelves on brass brackets that hold plants, a Buddha idol and small decor pieces picked by the family.
Cove lighting along the ceiling and the backlit shelf break up a large wall without needing a bigger TV, and the marble panel keeps fingerprints and scuffs off the most-touched part of the room.
Getting the Proportions Right
The panel spans the full width between the two bedroom doors, so the TV sits centered without crowding either side. A narrower wall would have made the marble feel like an afterthought rather than the main feature.
Lighting That Does Double Duty
The cove light at ceiling level and the shelf lighting are both on separate switches from the main room lights, so the unit can glow softly for movie nights or evening relaxing without lighting the whole living room.
